FAQs
What Is Fat Freezing?

Fat freezing, also known as cryolipolysis, is a non-surgical and non-invasive fat reduction treatment that uses a cold temperature in certain body areas to remove fat cells. This is especially beneficial for stubborn areas of fat, like bra bulges, love handles, lower abdomen etc. that are not affected by diet or exercise.

How Many Treatments Do I Need?
With cryotherapy, patients start noticing the results after the first treatment, but for maximum results, we recommend a series of 6-10 treatments to achieve your desired outcome.

How Long Does Each Treatment Take?
The treatment takes 20-30 minutes, depending on the area being treated. The therapist treats the same place once every 14 days, as it takes approximately 14 days for all the dead fat cells to clear the body.

Is Cryotherapy Safe?
The procedure’s safety depends on the clinic and the device they are using. At The Freeze Room, we use an advanced Cryo 21 device that is safer and more effective than other devices. The device is TGA approved and has no side effects. There is no downtime or pain, and the patient can return to their usual activities immediately. Patients might experience slight redness in the treated area, which is reduced within the next few hours.

Are there any risks with Cryotherapy?

Cryotherapy is a non-invasive fat reduction treatment with minimal side effects. Following the procedure, patients may experience mild redness, which typically fades within 1-2 hours. In rare cases, there may be allergic reactions to cold temperatures or rashes. However, you can feel confident that the Cryo 21 device used at The Freeze Room is safe and has no known side effects.

How Is Cryo 21 Different From Other Cryo Devices?

Cryo 21 stands out from other cryotherapy devices due to its unique manual application. Instead of using a vacuum attachment that suctions onto the body—often causing bruising, burn marks, and uneven results—the Cryo 21 probe is gently and precisely moved by hand over the targeted area. This approach allows for greater control, a more even treatment, and the ability to treat a wider range of areas with minimal discomfort.
